As part of its sustained growth, Gaming1 is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Senior Engineer (Back-end) to join its Acquisition and Interaction cluster. This cluster plays a pivotal role in enhancing customer engagement and driving growth through innovative solutions. As part of this team, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of advanced software systems that support our gaming and betting platforms, with a focus on acquisition strategies and user interaction optimization.

THE ROLE

• Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications with minimal supervision.
• Feature Ownership: Take full responsibility for assigned features or stories, ensuring their successful delivery from inception to deployment.
• Architectural Contributions: Participate in design and architecture discussions to create scalable and robust solutions.
• Code Quality: Uphold high standards of code quality and best practices.
• Collaboration: Conduct and participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.

YOUR PROFILE

• Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in backend development using .NET (.NET Core).
• DDD Knowledge: Knowledge in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and their practical application.
• Messaging Systems: Familiarity with message-based communication systems.
• Testing Practices: Strong commitment to automated testing, including unit, component, integration, and contract testing.
• Concurrency: Comprehensive understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency, and threading in .NET (e.g., async/await, Task, SemaphoreSlim, thread safety).
• Integration Experience: Proven ability to integrate third-party services effectively.
• Service Ownership: Demonstrated capability to own and operate services, including production monitoring and incident support.
• Version Control: Proficiency in Git and experience working within a robust code review culture.
• CI/CD Expertise: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, test automation, quality gates, and deployment troubleshooting.
• Containerization: Practical experience developing for containerized components.
• Database Skills: Solid understanding of database design (SQL and NoSQL), indexing, and query optimization.
• Ownership: Demonstrated ability to manage services throughout their lifecycle, from design and development to monitoring and support.
• Communication: Strong ability to articulate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Effective teamwork with cross-functional teams, including QA, Product, and DevOps.
• Problem Solving: Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex system issues.
