2026-1036 - SENIOR NETWORK & PLATFORM ENGINEER (LIEGE – BELGIUM)

Category : SUPPORT/Technology & Development
Contract type : Permanent
Position description :
THE SCOPE
With 30 years of history, Gaming1 is one of the international leaders in both land-based and online games of chance — casino games, sports betting, and poker. The company combines the stability of a family-owned business from Liège with the pace and ambition of a global tech operation, with 1.600 employees worldwide.
We are scaling our Platform Engineering function to give our Product Engineers a faster, safer, more self-service infrastructure foundation — and we are hiring a Senior Network & Platform Engineer to help build it.
YOUR ROLE
You will sit at the intersection of networking and platform engineering, embedded in our Platform Engineering Area. You will own both the network fabric and the platform primitives that sit on top of it — treating infrastructure as code, building self-service capabilities with guardrails, and making sure Product Engineers can ship without infrastructure becoming a bottleneck.
What You'll Do
Own network platform capabilities as code — Design, deploy, and maintain Fortinet-based network fabric (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, SD-WAN, BGP, IPsec) using Terraform, Ansible, and Git-based workflows.
Build self-service capabilities with guardrails — Provide Product Engineers with safe, scoped network primitives they can consume without filing a ticket.
Keep it secure by default — Embed cybersecurity standards into IaC pipelines; partner with Security on threat modeling and compliance.
Make it observable — Implement and maintain telemetry (Prometheus, Grafana) so reliability is measurable, not assumed.
Continuously improve — Evaluate new tooling, eliminate friction, and evolve the platform alongside peers.
Elevate the team — Share expertise; raise the bar on automation, security, and reliability standards.

YOUR PROFILE
7+ years of professional experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years in a platform or IaC-oriented role
Bachelor's or master's in computer science, or equivalent experience
Fortinet NSE 4 certification (or equivalent practical experience) — NSE 7 preferred
Expert-level network engineering with deep Fortinet expertise (FortiGate, FortiSwitch); strong WAN/SD-WAN, BGP, IPsec, L2/L3 switching
Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible for network and systems automation
Python and/or Go scripting for network automation and tooling
Solid grasp of CI/CD and GitOps (Git, GitLab CI, ArgoCD)
Hands-on experience with Prometheus and Grafana
Working knowledge of cybersecurity standards and secure-configuration practices
Strong sense of when to work autonomously and when to collaborate
These are not required, but each one moves a candidate up the shortlist:
Cloudflare — DNS, WAF, anti-DDoS, Magic Transit, Zero Trust / SASE (strong plus)
Aruba switching experience
Cloud-native networking — Kubernetes, Cilium, eBPF, Envoy Gateway
Datadog for observability
VMware, Nutanix, or HPE Alletra for compute/storage
Software development background beyond scripting (Python, Go for tooling)
WHAT WE OFFER
As well as having a unique experience - centered around our values of pleasure, team spirit, performance, boldness and integrity - alongside 1.600 employees around the world, we offer:
The opportunity to contribute to the international development of a family company from Liège
The chance to take part in a human and entrepreneurial adventure within a solid group
A friendly work environment that is adapted to reaching optimal performance
Leadership by talents, values, trust and autonomy
The opportunity to progress and specialize with our internal mobility system
A competitive salary package with several perks
The possibility to work remotely up to 50% for a good work-life balance

2026-1042 - SENIOR DATABASE RELIABILITY ENGINEER (LIEGE - BELGIUM)

Category : SUPPORT/Technology & Development
Contract type : Permanent
Position description :
THE SCOPE
With 30 years of history, today Gaming1 is one of the international leaders in both land-based and online games of chance (casino games, sports betting and poker). Its evolution at the heart of innovation is accompanied by a diversification and specialization of positions, with the creation of new cutting-edge jobs.
We are scaling our Platform Engineering function to give our Product Engineers a faster, safer, more self-service infrastructure foundation — and we are hiring a Senior Database Reliability Engineer to strengthen the PostgreSQL and RabbitMQ golden paths at the heart of it.
YOUR ROLE
Treat relational data and messaging as code. Make storage and transport invisible — in the best way.
You will sit at the intersection of database engineering and platform engineering, embedded in our Platform Engineering Area. You will own the PostgreSQL golden path on CloudNativePG, operate RabbitMQ alongside the team, and build self-service capabilities with guardrails so Product Engineers can ship without database or messaging becoming a bottleneck.
Your primary technical anchor is PostgreSQL on CloudNativePG. The team also owns RabbitMQ collectively, and you will contribute to operating and evolving it.
Own the PostgreSQL golden path on CloudNativePG — Provisioning, upgrades, backup/restore, HA, replication, observability — all as code, exposed to product teams as self-service.
Operate RabbitMQ alongside the team — Clustering, routing, HA, troubleshooting; build reusable messaging patterns Product Engineers can adopt without filing a ticket.
Build self-service capabilities with guardrails — Scoped, safe data and transport primitives Product Engineers can consume without depending on you for routine work. Surface adoption signals and friction, and iterate — the capability isn't done when it's built, it's done when teams use it without asking you.
Translate security and compliance into capability flavors — Implement and enforce access controls and encryption standards (ISO27001 baseline); translate regulatory requirements into capability variants so compliance is default-on for consumers.
Make it observable — Implement and maintain telemetry (Datadog) so reliability is measurable, not assumed.
Elevate the team — Mentor peers structurally on PostgreSQL and Kubernetes-stateful patterns; raise the bar on automation and operational rigor.

YOUR PROFILE
MUST-HAVE
5+ years of professional experience operating PostgreSQL in production at scale, including HA, replication, backup/restore, and performance tuning
At least 2 years in a platform or IaC-oriented role
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for stateful workloads (operators, storage, lifecycle)
Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation
CI/CD and GitOps — Git, GitLab CI, pipelines
Familiarity with at least one production-grade message broker (RabbitMQ preferred)
Hands-on experience with Datadog or equivalent observability tooling
Working knowledge of cybersecurity standards (ISO27001 or equivalent) and secure-configuration practices
Strong sense of when to work autonomously and when to collaborate
NICE-TO-HAVE (REAL DIFFERENTIATORS)
Strong production RabbitMQ operations experience — clustering, routing, HA, troubleshooting
CloudNativePG (CNPG) — operating PostgreSQL on Kubernetes
Operating PostgreSQL in regulated environments (gaming, finance, health) under audit constraints
MongoDB / MongoDB Atlas operations
VMware or Nutanix for compute/storage in the context of stateful workloads
Migrating relational workloads from VM-based to Kubernetes-native operation
Prometheus / Grafana observability
Software development background beyond scripting (Python, Go for tooling)

2026-1033 - FRONTEND ENGINEER - TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT (LIEGE - BELGIUM)

Category : SUPPORT/Technology & Development
Contract type : Permanent
Position description :
THE SCOPE
With 30 years of history, today Gaming1 is one of the international leaders in both land-based and online games of chance (casino games, sports betting and poker). Its evolution at the heart of innovation is accompanied by a diversification and specialization of positions, with the creation of new cutting-edge jobs. As part of its sustained growth, Gaming1 is looking for a Frontend Engineer to join its Product Engineering team.
A Frontend Engineer at Gaming1 maximizes customer and business value through high-quality, user-centric product experiences.
Engineers operate within small, autonomous product engineering teams in a high-traffic, regulated environment, where decisions directly impact customer trust, conversion, time-to-market and long-term engagement.
While frontend engineering is the primary expertise, Gaming1 teams are intentionally small and product-oriented. As a result, Engineers are expected to be wide in their skillset, flexible in scope, and comfortable collaborating across disciplines. Frontend work is not always a neatly isolated responsibility — success comes from team ownership and shared accountability, not role silos.
This role is part of a broader Product Engineering culture focused on autonomy, short feedback loops, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
YOUR ROLE
As a Frontend Engineer, your mission is to design, build, and evolve solutions that solve real customer problems and support business outcomes.
You do this by:
Owning solutions across their lifecycle — from problem understanding and implementation to release, monitoring, and iterative improvement,
Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver meaningful outcomes,
Applying strong craftsmanship while keeping a product and customer-first mindset,
Continuously improving codebases, practices, tooling, and ways of working.
Your autonomy, scope, and influence are driven by your career ladder level, not by the job title alone.

YOUR PROFILE
Experience as a Frontend Engineer in product-oriented environments, ideally at scale and/or in regulated contexts
Strong fundamentals in TypeScript and modern JavaScript, with advanced experience in React and component-based architectures
Proven ability to build maintainable, performant and accessible user interfaces
Solid experience with state management and data fetching (e.g. Redux Toolkit / RTK Query)
Strong testing mindset, with hands-on experience in unit and integration testing (Jest/Vitest, RTL) and UI documentation (Storybook)
Product- and user-minded, able to translate product goals into clear, intuitive experiences
Comfortable working in small, autonomous, cross-functional teams, in close collaboration with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers
Strong sense of ownership, quality and continuous improvement, from design to production
WHAT WE OFFER
As well as having a unique experience - centered around our values of pleasure, team spirit, performance, boldness and integrity - alongside 1,200 employees around the world, we offer:
the opportunity to contribute to the international development of a family company from Liège
the chance to take part in a human and entrepreneurial adventure within a solid group
a friendly work environment that is adapted to reaching optimal performance
leadership by talents, values, trust and autonomy
the opportunity to progress and specialize with our internal mobility system
a competitive salary package with several perks
The possibility to work remotely up to 50% for a good work-life balance

Translate validated problems into clear product requirements and success criteria that guide delivery teams.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions in an iterative manner.
Balance scope, speed, quality, and risk, making informed trade-offs throughout the delivery process.

Ensure alignment with broader planning cycles, dependencies, delivery processes and major sporting events to drive effective execution.
Define clear success metrics for Sports Betting product initiatives and ensure solutions are properly instrumented for measurement.
Monitor product performance using quantitative and qualitative insights, assessing adoption, impact, and user outcomes.
Drive experimentation and learning to validate assumptions and continuously improve the product experience.
Translate wagering insights into actionable recommendations and prioritization decisions for stakeholders.
YOUR PROFILE
We are looking for a customer-obsessed and data-driven Product Manager to shape and grow best-in-class sports betting experiences in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
You:
Have 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, ideally in Sports Betting, iGaming, or another regulated digital industry
Bring a strong product discovery mindset, able to identify high-impact bettor needs and turn insights into clear product outcomes
Are passionate about sports, betting journeys, and user experience, with a sharp eye for friction, simplicity, and trust
Use data, experimentation, and learning loops to drive prioritization, validate assumptions, and optimize performance
Are comfortable owning and prioritizing a sportsbook product backlog, aligned with live sports calendars and major events
Collaborate seamlessly with Engineering, Design, Data, and Trading/Operations to deliver high-quality, iterative solutions
Balance business impact, user value, technical constraints, and regulatory requirements in your decision-making
Thrive in dynamic, live-sports environments, managing ambiguity, trade-offs, and fast execution
Communicate clearly and confidently with diverse stakeholders

collaborating closely with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, and other stakeholders,
applying strong backend craftsmanship while keeping product impact, reliability, and compliance front of mind,
continuously improving systems, practices, tooling, and ways of working.
Your autonomy, scope, and influence are driven by your career ladder level, not by the job title alone.

YOUR PROFILE

Category : SUPPORT/Technology & Development
Contract type : Permanent
Position description :
THE SCOPE
With more than 30 years of history, Gaming1 is today one of the international leaders in both land-based and online games of chance (casino games, sports betting and poker). Its continuous growth, driven by innovation, is accompanied by the creation of high-impact, cutting-edge engineering roles.
As part of this growth, Gaming1 is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the Reliability Operations team within the Platform Engineering branch.
This is a senior position combining deep SRE expertise with a strong mentoring and enablement mindset. The role plays a key part in evolving Gaming1’s reliability practices and upskilling the existing Reliability Operations team.
You will join a team of experienced engineers whose mission is to enable Product Engineering teams to fully own the reliability of their applications (“you build it, you run it”). Rather than operating systems for others, the team builds reliability capabilities, golden paths, and self-service tooling that scale across the organization.
You will report to the Engineering Manager and work closely with Product Engineering teams, Infrastructure, and Developer Experience.
The main objective of the role is to design, improve, and drive adoption of reliability capabilities, while acting as a technical mentor who elevates team performance and maturity.

YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will:
Design, implement, and continuously improve observability, alerting, and incident management capabilities
Build self-service reliability tooling and golden paths that enable Product Engineering teams to operate autonomously
Drive adoption of SRE practices across teams, embedding reliability thinking into delivery workflows
Act as a technical mentor within the Reliability Operations team through pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
Lead improvements in incident response, runbooks, and post-incident processes, facilitating blameless post-mortems
Reduce incident frequency and mean time to recovery (MTTR) through preventive and systemic improvements
Approach reliability as a platform product, focusing on usability, adoption, and long-term impact rather than short-term fixes

YOUR PROFILE
Has a strong engineering background; formal education is a plus but not a requirement
4+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or Platform Reliability Engineer
Is an expert SRE practitioner with strong hands-on experience in:Site Reliability Engineering practices
Observability and monitoring systems (Datadog or equivalent)
Incident management and response (Jira Service Management or similar tools)
Has solid experience with:Kubernetes and container orchestration
Linux systems and networking
Infrastructure as Code
Programming and scripting
Brings a strong mentoring orientation and finds motivation in helping others grow
Thinks in terms of platforms and enablement, not centralized operations
Communicates complex reliability concepts clearly and documents for scale
Is fluent in English (spoken and written); French is a plus

WHAT WE OFFER

2026-1004 - ENGINEERING MANAGER (LIEGE - BELGIUM)

Category : SUPPORT/Technology & Development
Contract type : Permanent
Position description :
THE SCOPE
With more than 30 years of history, Gaming1 is today one of the international leaders in both land-based and online games of chance (casino games, sports betting and poker). Its continuous growth, driven by innovation, is supported by strong local brands and deep market expertise.
As part of this strategy, Gaming1 is looking for an Engineering Manager (EM).
The Engineering Manager’s primary role is to create the conditions in which the team can do its best work, adapt to change, and continuously improve. This includes evolving practices and tools over time, such as the responsible adoption of automation and AI when it brings clear value. This is explicitly not a delivery or project management role. It is a technical leadership role, close to the team, the code, and the product, without requiring the EM to be the most senior or specialized engineer.
YOUR ROLE
As an Engineering Manager, your mission is to ensure your team:
Continuously delivers the best customer experience and business value
Works in short cycles
Experiments, learns, and improves continuously
Applies strong and pragmatic engineering practices
You focus on enabling the team to succeed by setting clear expectations, fostering ownership, facilitating good decision-making, and removing impediments.
You help the team leverage modern tools and approaches, including AI-assisted engineering practices and product capabilities, when they demonstrably improve quality, speed, or customer experience.

YOUR PROFILE
You:
Have a strong software engineering background and are comfortable staying hands-on (30–50%)
Bring experience as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or senior engineer with clear people leadership impact
Care deeply about engineering quality, maintainability, testing, performance, and security
Work closely with Product to focus the team on customer value and outcomes, not just delivery
Create a psychologically safe environment where engineers take ownership, experiment, and continuously improve
Balance autonomy and alignment, enabling the team to make decisions within clear boundaries
Lead through coaching, feedback, and mentoring, rather than command-and-control
Are comfortable operating in short feedback loops, experimenting and learning fast
Are curious and pragmatic about adopting modern tooling, automation, and AI-assisted practices when they bring real value

YOUR ROLE

Holistic architectural thinking combined with pragmatic, hands-on execution ability.
Leadership
Operates independently and proactively — progresses without needing constant alignment
Challenges strategy and assumptions constructively and proposes stronger alternatives
Sets domain architectural context and guardrails that empower autonomous delivery
Skilled at navigating complex interpersonal landscapes with diplomacy and authority
Communicates effectively at all levels using the Architecture Elevator approach

Business Impact
Directly drives measurable improvements across acquisition, engagement, retention, and communication
Translates business goals into structured architectural capabilities and roadmaps
Evaluates proposed solutions with rigor, challenging unnecessary complexity or misalignment
Ensures all domain architecture integrates cleanly with analytics, experimentation, and DataMesh

Adaptability & Innovation
Consistently questions the status quo and introduces impactful, innovative ideas
Encourages flexibility in technology choices while ensuring coherence and sustainability
Stays current with emerging techniques in acquisition, digital engagement, and personalization.

Pragmatic Enterprise Architecture Skills
Strong ability to perform due diligence and deep analysis of complex domains
Skilled in documenting architectures, processes, and capabilities using tools like Ardoq
Comfortable with hands-on assessments, data deep-dives, and prototype validations

Strategic Expectations
Own the A&I architectural agenda autonomously
Ensure domain roadmaps reflect solid architectural foundations, not short-term hacks
Engage deeply with engineering teams to ensure execution aligns with architectural intent
Willingly dive into operational details to unblock progress and ensure delivery.
